Investing in our

Families

The last two years have been a real struggle for families. Just like you, I experienced juggling work with the transition to online learning. I watched as my children struggled with listening to their teachers through a screen and the frustration of linking to classes. The only way to bounce back is to fully invest in our families; our families are the bedrock of a strong community.

  • Our families need affordable, accessible and quality childcare

  • Our families need maternity and paternity leave to foster that nuclear bond that create long lasting, resilient connections

  • Our families need to know their loved ones are protected and safe as they grow into who they are truly meant to be. This means passing LBGTQ+ protections.

  • Families should not have to worry about the quality of their local public schools. Fully funding our schools so that every child has access to a quality education is key to investing in the future of our children.
